CSP Partner Schools Overview
Charter School Partners has brought together a cadre of Twin Cities charter schools that demonstrate a fierce commitment to the highest principles of academic quality and student achievement in K-12 public education. CSP Partner Schools represent a new "Community of Excellence", comprised of inner-city schools who serve many economically disadvantaged students and a wide range of other high-performing or high-potential charters throughout the metro area. At the beginning of each school year, CSP invites select charters to become Partner Schools based on their shared dedication to the tenets of CSP’s mission and “Quality Contract” as well as their demonstration of overall student proficiency, growth, and/or growth potential as measured by formal assessments. In addition, CSP Partner Schools will be active contributors to the larger charter movement by exhibiting an unrelenting persistence in pursuing excellent academic results for their students and sharing effective practices for meeting this goal with their peers in other schools. At a time of tremendous challenge and opportunity for the charter sector in Minnesota, it is imperative that this diverse community of school boards, leaders, educators and families band together and support each other in order to improve the quality of all charter schools and serve as an example of what an effective education reform movement is all about. CSP believes this strategy is essential to protect the long-term future of charter schools in Minnesota. CSP offers Partner Schools various programs and services that reflect
its focus on four, evidence-based pillars that support and accelerate
educational improvements in charter schools: strong school leadership, quality teaching, data driven decision-making and effective board governance. In addition, CSP has emerged as a strong advocate for high expectations and performance in Minnesota charter schools and continues to expand its presence in the media and its role as a persuasive voice with state and local policy leaders.
